drawer-glue-up

Generic glue-up of complete drawer. FIRST I build the front and back rectangles THEN connect them both, completing the drawer with the 16 slats. I use SLATS rather than a bottom frame and panel because bottom panels suck - they warp and fall out of the bottom frame. I 'overbuild' the bottom by using slats but the drawers themselves will support a lot of weight. The final drawers have a sheet of posterboard on the bottom to stop items from falling through. I find that the sides and back don't have to be completely walled-in so my design saves weight while adding strength.
