Whats NEW at ffilmar.org? Well, for one, this site. I moved my webserver to my home server. Nothing was wrong with my old provider, but I wanted to save some bucks AND I wanted to get back into coding.

I miss my employment in the tech sector. I did a lot of great scripting of web apps - a DNS manager, an LDAP manager, a highly-modified Majordomo maillist server and the FIRST web-based powerpoint and word processors. Those were good days. I wrote more stories, too. My mind was active and I was always creating. This webserver is a small start back down that path (or a new path).

I am also starting to photograph more, again. I had to sell off my good Canon SLR and it's goodies. I still have a G19 and my phone camera. I need to fill out the descriptions of the photos already online and begin taking more pictures.

Latest writing

My most current work is Let there be!. It centers around a sound engineer unhappy at work who is more interested in his own projects (sound familiar?). It is intended to be a parallel to Light Boy, exploring the main character's relationship with sound and the deeper meaning of sound in our world.
